FAQ
Frequently asked questions
These answers are meant to give you initial guidance. We will gladly discuss everything else in person.
Process & appointment
- At the first appointment, we take time for a conversation. We listen, look at the situation calmly and discuss possible next steps.
- For routine visits we find a suitable time together. For acute issues we try to help you as quickly as possible.
- Your e-card or insurance card, any previous records (X-rays, cost plans from other practices), and a list of medications.
- Please cancel appointments by phone as early as possible so we can offer the time to another patient.
Costs & insurance
- We discuss your concern personally and without obligation. Whether any costs apply is clarified transparently before the appointment.
- In Vienna: KFA, SVS (formerly SVA) and Cigna. In Yspertal: all Austrian statutory insurance funds. Of course we also treat privately insured and self-paying patients.
- A written cost overview for planned treatment - statutory tariff (if applicable) and private fee are shown separately. You receive one before any larger treatment.
- For larger treatments you receive a written treatment and cost plan beforehand. Payment questions are discussed transparently in the personal consultation.
Dental implants
- Dr. Reza Homayuni performs the implant surgery personally in the practice - from 3D planning to prosthetic restoration in one place (M.Sc. Implantology and Dental Surgery, IMC 2018).
- The procedure is done under local anaesthesia. Most people report pressure but no pain.
- In many cases, bone can be built up before or during implantation. We discuss the options after 3D diagnostics.
Veneers & aesthetics
- In most cases only minimally (0.3–0.7 mm). With no-prep veneers, not at all in suitable cases.
- With good care and regular check-ups, ceramic veneers are very long-lasting.
- Yes - with our CAD/CAM system we can produce crowns, inlays and veneers directly in the practice. The exact process depends on the treatment.
Orthodontics
- All types - fixed brackets, removable braces and aligner systems. Dr. Homayuni holds the Diploma for Orthodontics of the Austrian Medical Chamber (since 2002) and an international orthodontic diploma (Dallas, 2018).
