Is the procedure painful?

The procedure is done under local anaesthesia. Most patients report pressure but no pain.

How long does the treatment take overall?

Depending on your starting situation, from a few weeks to several months. An implant usually needs 2–4 months to heal before the final crown is placed.

What does an implant cost?

The cost depends on your individual situation (bone volume, number of implants, crown type). A binding cost plan is provided after diagnostics.

Will my insurance cover the costs?

In Austria, implants are usually self-pay treatments. Private supplementary insurance may reimburse part of the costs depending on your tariff. We document everything in a written treatment and cost plan.

What if there is not enough bone?

In many cases bone can be built up before or during implantation (augmentation). Options are discussed after 3D diagnostics.

Who performs the surgical procedure?

Dr. Reza Homayuni performs the implant surgery personally in the practice - from 3D planning to prosthetic restoration in one place (M.Sc. Implantology and Dental Surgery, IMC 2018).
